Enterprise grade RESTful API infrastructure serving cinema showtime data to major media partners, cinema chains, and app developers across 8 international markets. Handles millions of API requests monthly with 99.9% uptime. The API provides comprehensive cinema data including showtimes, film information, venue details, and booking capabilities. Built on AWS with autoscaling, load balancing, and multiregion failover capabilities.

Building a highly available, scalable API that can handle millions of requests while maintaining sub 100ms response times across multiple geographic regions.

The Solution

Implemented edge caching with CloudFront, Redis caching layers, database read replicas, and intelligent query optimisation. Built comprehensive monitoring and autoscaling rules.
